About

My name is Manjusha ,I'm a beginner artist in California. After my teaching job, the next thing I enjoy is doing art. I picked up doing Lippan art recently on my trip to India . After my trip I gathered the basic supplies and did my first art piece in white. After that there was no stopping. I like playing with color and incorporating other art styles in my Lippan art projects. I have blended Pichwai, Warli and Mandala with Lippan so far. My goal is to preserve the ancient Indian and pass it to the next generation. I do customized artwork according to people needs too.My work is also available on Amazon.

Lipan art (sometimes spelled as “Lippan” and known in English as Mud and Mirror Work) is a traditional mural craft of Kutch, Gujarat, India. Lippan or mud-washing using materials locally available in the region like mixture of clay and camel dung keeps the interiors of the houses cool.
For my Projects I use wooden base( mostly birch wood) for stability and durability, clay, paint and Mirrors . Each piece is sealed with Varnish. Hang it on the wall or keep it on a shelf, it will add a character to any room. These cannot be left in rain or snow as the wooden base or the clay might damaged or wash away.

As a passionate and motivated professional, I’m constantly striving to improve my techniques, expand my skillset and find new opportunities to grow. Each of my projects - have provided this growth and allowed me to establish myself within this competitive industry. Please enjoy my portfolio, and feel free to get in touch with any questions.
